Thank you to everyone who came to our Wartime Weekend here at Brougham Hall on 12-14th May! The Wartime Weekend is our biggest event of the year and takes place every May – a fun and educational day out for all the family.

Visitors enjoyed authentic living history displays, military vehicles, period costume and old style canvas tents. We also had an exhibition of photos and film footage of Cumbria at War. Live period music came from The Bobby Pin-Ups on the Saturday and a bugler on the Sunday.

Thank you to Brougham Hall tenants Black Cat Distillery for running the bar, and to caterers Hairy Collie Coffee, Shap Chippy Van and Neaum for the delicious food, drinks and ice cream. It was extremely sunny on the Saturday and visitors were certainly in need of ice cream – sourced locally from Abbot Lodge!
