I make small batch, tactile hand thrown and altered ceramics for the table as well as one off porcelain pieces.
My tableware work is made with high fired stoneware clay and focuses on translating the process of making into a final products that represent a snapshot of movement and forces used to turn lumps of clay into robust stoneware items.
I leave throwing lines and makers marks on my pieces, along with added alterations, in order to preserve as much of the process as possible and showcase the quality of the material used.
All my glazes are food safe and mixed from raw materials. In 2020 I started experimenting with wild clay which I dig up locally and process myself at home.
