The restoration of Brougham Hall is an entirely private initiative. It is not state organised and it does not rely on state funding. We sink or swim through our own efforts and have managed so to do for over twenty years.

One of our life lines is donations from private individuals, who appreciate what we're doing and who express their appreciation in financial terms because they don't live close enough to express it in any other way (those who do live close enough are able to help us in the form of volunteer labour or gifts in kind as opposed to cash gifts).

If you are distant, or even in a foreign or Commonwealth country, and would like to help, we would be thrilled to hear from you.

We make a point of acknowledging any cash donation by return and we never take the publics' generosity for granted. We are as happy to acknowledge £5 as we are £5,000.00 and have actually had both those amounts more than once. So, large or small, if you would like to contribute to our endeavours, it will help speed the process.

Our registered charity number is 517943. If you are a UK tax payer, please indicate with your payment . The reason for asking this is that, as a registered charity, we can draw that tax back, from the Inland Revenue, under the Chancellor of the Exchequer's Gift Aid Scheme.
